SENIORS GET A LIFT

Brentwood senior citizens now have a new transportation system available to shuttle them to doctor and dentist appointments and to the grocery store. The Rides for Seniors Program started here this week. It is operated by the Senior Helpline Services in Lafayette.
“We want to mobilize them so they don’t have to be institutionalized just because they can’t drive,” explained Elaine Welch, executive director of the novel program.
