I know what you are thinking....'PAJAMAS CANT DRIVE'....That is what I thought at first also, but you are wrong, pajamas can drive. They can drive people to donate for a good cause and I cant think of a better one than this years drive to reach the goal of 1000 pairs of new pajamas donated to International Orphan Relief Foundation. Established in 2006 by a local business couple, we raise money all year long to help our local community as well as those around the globe.
Each year near Christmas, this year December 17th, we will once again be giving out ham and turkey gift baskets to families in need in the area. We would like to include pajamas in the boxes for children ages 3 to 16. Last year we ran short of having enough for all of the families and had to turn people away and this year we have set our goal higher and with your help we are confident we can acccomplish it.
Our first Pajama Drop this year is going to be at the BANC booth at Hometown Halloween, Saturday, October 23rd, downtown on 1st and Main Streets, from 5 to 8pm. BANC members will be on hand dressed in our pajamas ready to take your donations, please stop by and help us fill our pajama tubs and give a needy child a warm, new pair of pajamas for Christmas.
If you would like to donate and cannot attend HomeTown Halloween please contact us and we will make arrangements to pick up the pajamas or if you would like to donate a gift card which we can use to purchase pajamas that is greatly appreciated also.
Again, we are looking for donations of pajama sets for children ages 3 to 16.
